How to wash socks so they last

Wash merino and bamboo at 30 °C on a gentle cycle. Higher temperatures stress the fibre needlessly and shorten its life.

Skip fabric softener — it coats the fibre and reduces its ability to wick moisture. A mild, enzyme-free wool detergent is enough.

Dry flat, not on a radiator. Direct heat deforms the cuff and causes shrinkage. Socks don't belong in the dryer.
